Notes: All values refer to nominal capacity. The fuel tank body is generally made of D-type aluminum alloy (corrosion-resistant and lightweight, standard for mining trucks), with a lockable fuel cap. The rated tank capacity is not equal to the actual refueling volume. A safety margin is reserved, so the actual fuel filling is generally about 90% of the nominal capacity.
Standard fuel tank: 500L D-type aluminum alloy side-mounted single tank
Chassis models: ZZ5707S3640AJ / ZZ5707S3840AJ / ZZ5707S4040AJ
Optional configuration: 600L enlarged D-type aluminum fuel tank available for custom selection (for long-distance one-way haulage in mine sites). A small number of basic versions may use a 400L tank (rarely adopted).
Power: WD615 / D12 / WP12 engines, 371~420 HP
Reference fuel consumption: 55~75 L/h under full-load open-pit mine conditions; theoretical endurance of a full 500L tank: approx. 6~9 hours
Standard: 500L D-type aluminum alloy fuel tank
Upgraded powertrain with higher engine power; 600L enlarged tank is also available as an option
Full-load fuel consumption: 65~85 L/h; endurance of a full 500L tank: approx. 5.5~7.5 hours
Standard: 800L aluminum alloy fuel tank (single large tank; dual-tank configuration available on some versions)
Engine: Large-displacement WP13G, around 540 HP
Full-load fuel consumption: 85~110 L/h; endurance of a full 800L tank: approx. 7~9 hours
Standard fuel tank: 400L D-type aluminum alloy tank
Suitable for small open-pit mines and aggregate yards
Standard 400L aluminum alloy fuel tank
8×4 / 6×4, National VI emission standard, used for short-distance muck haulage; not designed for heavy-duty operations inside large open pits
LNG natural gas mining trucks: No diesel fuel tank. Equipped with a 450L gas cylinder, completely different from diesel tank configurations.
Mounting position: The fuel tank is installed on the side of the frame to avoid interference during tipper body lifting. The tank on the 125-ton heavy model is fitted with protective steel plates to prevent impact from falling rocks.
Definition of capacity: Nominal capacity is the total volume specified by the manufacturer, including space reserved for safe oil level. A 500L tank can actually hold around 450L diesel at most. Do not estimate refueling quantity based on nominal value.
Option rules: Enlarged fuel tank solutions require modification of frame brackets, oil pipes and oil level sensors. Factory option is recommended. Retrofit must comply with vehicle homologation regulations.
